Unapologetically Multi-Hyphenate

Bekir Sert is an Oxonian linguist, (MSc, University of Oxford), mangaka, and artist, who has showcased his works in solo and group exhibitions in New York, Capri, Paris, and Istanbul galleries. Sert is a lifetime member of the Oxford Union and has received a commendation for his lasting contribution to English Speaking Union, a British Royal Charter organisation. Sert has gained recognition as the inventor of the linguistic term 'capsonym' through his dissertation at the University of Oxford. He calls his art practice ‘visual lexicography’ as he tries to compile a visual dictionary in the form of diagrams and paintings.
